im looking at buying a 55 f 600 im tryng to find out if its worth modifing the current frame or swapping to some thing else

If you want to modify the fame to the length of an F100 short bed, here are the steps:
1. Start at the forward rear spring hanger, measure 8" towards the front of the frame and cut that section out.
2. Weld the frame back together and reinforce with a diamond shaped piece of steel.
3. Cut an additional 4-5” off of the rear of the frame.
